USING A BEADING AWL

The Beadalon Beading Awl is ideal for hand-knotting your silk thread designs with precise accuracy. The strong, sharp point is also useful for opening Seamed Beads to cover already-crimped crimp beads/tubes.

Step-by-Step Instructions
1. For hand-knotting, make a loop around two fingers with silk thread; drop the end between your fingers to make a loose overhand knot.

2. Place the Beading Awl's tip through the knot and carefully slide the knot toward the bead while grasping the cord with your other hand.

3. Once you've moved the knot close enough to the bead, remove the Beading Awl and firmly pull the knot until it is tight. Repeat with each bead until your knotted strand is complete.
